While our Michter’s team distills according to tried and true Kentucky practices, it continually experiments as it pursues Michter’s goal of making the greatest American whiskeys. Following years of research on different barrel finishes for Rye whiskey, we are proud to offer this release of our Michter’s US1 Toasted Barrel Rye. To make it we take our US1 Kentucky Straight Rye at barrel strength and then age it for an additional period in a second custom barrel. This second barrel is assembled from 24 month air-dried wood and then toasted to our specifications. The result is a unique Rye whiskey that we take pride in offering to you.

Don't believe bad reviews... Excellent, will use again

I was hesitant after finding negative reviews and in general being skeptical about these sites that have hard to find bottles. My experience with WC though was seamless. Order placed, was shipped either same day or very soon after, consistent and clear communication, bottle arrived within a few days (way faster than expected) - packaging was great, bottle totally secured. I will definitely use them again - when I need something hard to find locally.

First & Best Toasted Rye

This was my first purchase from Whiskey Caviar but the service was good, delivery was very quick, the price was reasonable, and the Michter’s Toasted Barrel Barrel Strength Rye is excellent.
